Tuesday's Tips 4 Pics

Quick & Easy Holiday Tips

I want to make these holiday tips QUICK since you are probably busy cleaning, planning, cooking, traveling or maybe even juggling kids/grandkids who are on break this week! Tip #1 Take pictures of EVERYTHING this Thanksgiving regardless of how big or small it seems! If we've learned anything in the last year and a half it's how much we took for granted being able to spend the holidays with friends and family! So capture it all... these moments will become your family's favorite memories down the road! Tip #2 Create a SHARED DIGITAL ALBUM so you and your loved ones can enjoy all those pictures you are sure to take! Simply follow the directions below to create an album, add your own photos and have your loved ones do the same! Whether you're together or not this holiday, you can enjoy all the memories that are made! Shared Albums in iPhoto

  • Open the iPhotos app on your phone

  • Click the plus + sign in the top left corner

  • Select "New SHARED Album"

  • Give your album a title (ex: Thanksgiving 2021)

  • Click "Next"

  • Enter anyone you'd like to share the album with

  • Click "Create"

Shared Albums in Google Photos

  • Open the Google Photos app on your phone

  • Select "Library" in the bottom right corner of your screen

  • Select "New Album"

  • Give your album a title (ex: Thanksgiving 2021)

  • Click the 3 dots in the top right corner

  • Select "Options"

  • Select "Invite People"

  • Add your people and then click the blue "send" button (they will receive a link to join)

  • Click the arrow in the top left corner of your screen TWICE

  • You will be able to see your newly created album in your list of albums

Tip#3 This won't apply to everyone, but if you are traveling this week and vaccinated you might want to take a picture of your vaccination card so you have it on hand everywhere you go! With rules constantly changing and varying from state to state, having access to your card ensures you won't have any problems at restaurants, museums, or anywhere else you end up that requires you to have proof. If you're traveling with a crew, take a picture of all of their cards and put them in ONE digital album for easy access! Simply, follow the steps above in Tip #1 in order to create a new album, add your vaccination card pictures and if necessary share with other adults in your party who might need access to them too!

I hope at least one of these tips comes in handy and that you have a safe and healthy holiday with your loved ones!

All the best,

Melissa
