Holiday Picture Tips

Here are a few quick and easy tips to keep in mind as you head into this holiday week with friends, family and fun! Whether you're traveling, staying close to home or having visitors I hope you take pictures to capture all of the memories you create this holiday season! Take Pictures of EVERYTHING! Have you ever come across an old photo and a flood of memories comes back that you had completely forgotten about? That is the power of a single photo. So as you head into this holiday season with your loved ones, take pictures of all the big and small moments because someday you will look back at them and re-live fond memories and share stories of Christmas Past! Sharing Pictures Creating a shared digital album allows you to share photos and videos with friends and family without emailing/texting them one by one! They can add their own too making it possible for everyone to have access to all those priceless moments captured in picture form! Shared Albums in iPhoto

  • Open the iPhotos app on your phone

  • Click the plus + sign in the top left corner

  • Select "New SHARED Album"

  • Give your album a title (ex: Christmas 2021)

  • Click "Next"

  • Enter anyone you'd like to share the album with

  • Click "Create"

Shared Albums in Google Photos

  • Open the Google Photos app on your phone

  • Select "Library" in the bottom right corner of your screen

  • Select "New Album"

  • Give your album a title (ex: Christmas 2021)

  • Click the 3 dots in the top right corner

  • Select "Options"

  • Select "Invite People"

  • Add your people and then click the blue "send" button (they will receive a link to join)

  • Click the arrow in the top left corner of your screen TWICE

  • You will be able to see your newly created album in your list of albums

The next time you jump on your phone to mindlessly scroll through social media, pull up old Christmas memories of your favorite humans instead! It will surely bring a smile to your face as you go back in time to so many great memories of the past!

iPhoto (Apple)

  • Open the iPhoto app on your phone

  • Click the search icon (magnifying glass) in the bottom right corner of your screen

  • In the search bar at the top, type in Christmas, Santa, Gifts or anything else that fits the holidays for you

  • iPhoto will find and show you those particular photos

Google Photos

  • Open the Google Photos app on your phone

  • Click the search icon (magnifying glass) at the bottom of your screen

  • In the sear ch bar at the top, type in Christmas, Santa, Gifts or anything that fits the holidays for you

  • Google Photos will find and show you those particular photos
