Tuesday's Tips 4 Pics

Easiest Organization System EVER!

Updated: Aug 12, 2021

We have a new baby in the family, which means there are lots and lots of pictures being taken! Can you relate? Or maybe you take a million pictures of your kids, grandkids or even your fur baby?

Well, in just a few clicks you can get photos of your favorite human or puppy all in one place! Even better, you can set it up so that future pics will AUTOMATICALLY be added too!

Follow these quick and easy steps and in less than 5 minutes you'll be on your way to organizing your pictures so they are not only in one place, but also easy to find next time you need a few for a birthday post, a greeting card or maybe even a photo book!

  • Open the Google Photos App from your phone

  • Click "LIBRARY" at the bottom of your screen

  • Click "NEW ALBUM"

  • Add your person/pet's name on the title line

  • Then, click "SELECT PEOPLE & PETS"

  • Click on the photo of that person/pet and then click "CONFIRM" in the top right corner

  • This will add every photo you've ever taken of that person/pet into your album

  • Once you're in the album, click the 3 dots in the top right corner

  • Select "OPTIONS"

  • If his/her picture pops up, click on it and select "Keep on"

  • Otherwise, click the plus sign (+)

  • Select that person/pet's photo from the list

  • Click "CONFIRM" in the top right corner

  • This will ensure every picture of that person/pet you take in the future will be added to your album automatically

  • Click the arrow in the top left corner to go back out to your album

Literally, that is all it takes to START getting organized!

If you have more than one favorite person and another 5 minutes to spare, create a second album for all of his/her pictures too! Before you know it you'll be a pro at organizing your digital pics and wondering why you didn't do it sooner!
